Autumn day

0059

0059

About 10 years ago I visited England regularly and spesifically Redhill in Surrey as this is where my friend lived.  It is situated halfway between London and Brighton and I have many fond memories of regularly shivering from the cold on a railway station in England.  Of course at the time I didn't particularly like being on such stations shivering!

What fascinated me most were were the old buildings and bridges.  I just could not believe how old they were!  In South Africa where I live everything is relatively new.

Another fasccination were trees in fall.  I have never seen such a display of colour in my life as I am from a relatively dry part of the South Africa where trees are few and far between.  I remember picking up leafs and studying them, finding purple, gold, red and green in one leaf!

This painting is a celebration to fond memories and is for sale unframed.  Click on the photograph below for more information or to Buy Now.

Thank you for visiting my blog.
