Oil painting
12x6 inches (30x15 cm) oil on canvas panel unframed.
I love painting with watercolours but oils are as much fun.
As always my big question was what to paint and unknowingly my friend Marguerite came to the rescue. She loves interior decorating and her house is lovely. I took a photo of a very simplistic arrangement of rocks she collected from the beach on her white-washed patio table and with it a double strand of small blue beads.
I could not resist the urge to paint it as it was stunning in its simplicity.
